American troops have "shot down" multiple Iranian drones aimed at merchant vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the military announced late Friday.
"Iran deployed several suicide drones in an effort to target merchant vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz," stated the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), responsible for military activities in the area, on X.
CENTCOM stated that the strait "continues to be accessible for passage."
