ETranzact Plc stated that digital transactions can significantly contribute to enhancing tax management, income gathering, and the provision of government services.
The managing director and chief executive officer of eTranzact, Niyi Toluwalope, made these remarks during the Nigeria Employers' Summit 2026, hosted by the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association in Abuja, as reported in a release from the firm on Thursday.
Toluwalope, represented by the Executive Director and Group Head of the Public Sector Division, Mr. Abubakar Achimugu, stated that digital payments have progressed from merely enabling financial transactions to serving as a crucial factor in promoting economic development and transparency.

He stated that Digital Public Infrastructure is founded upon three interrelated foundations: digital identification, secure data sharing, and electronic payment systems.
Toluwalope mentioned that Nigeria has made considerable advancements in digital identification registration, pointing out that the nation now holds over 100 million National Identification Numbers and more than 60 million Banking Verification Numbers.
He mentioned that although the government offers the supportive policy structure, private companies are tasked with constructing, managing, and growing the digital infrastructure essential for driving economic operations.
He said, "Each electronic transaction generates a reliable ledger. Each reliable ledger enhances responsibility."
Each responsible financial activity minimizes losses. Each decrease in these losses enhances trust in the government, organizations, and economic system, which is precisely what eTranzact addresses.
He mentioned that the company's technological innovations are assisting governmental bodies and enterprises in enhancing productivity and the quality of their services.
