July 2 - In response to India's "ridiculous claim" about Pakistan's latest operations targeting militants and their strongholds near the Afghanistan border, Tahir Andrabi, a representative from the Foreign Office, dismissed the allegations on Wednesday.
On a post shared via X, a representative from the Foreign Office stated that Pakistan dismissed India's "unfounded claim," emphasizing that their operations against militant networks in Afghanistan were "lawful, precise, and appropriately measured."
"Such an absurd claim comes from a nation that has long meddled with and weakened the independence and land boundaries of its neighboring states, violating the UN Charter, and still restricts the people of Kashmir from determining their own future within Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, contrary to applicable United Nations resolutions," he stated.
India has also been providing active support and funding to terror organizations based in Afghanistan targeting Pakistan, which violates the applicable United Nations Security Council sanction measures, and remains involved as a destabilizing force in the region," he stated, emphasizing that "unfounded allegations and provocative remarks directed at Pakistan should not be taken seriously.
He concluded, 'Pakistan has always taken and will keep taking all necessary actions to ensure the safety and well-being of its people in line with international laws.'
The incident occurred following an attack on a local office of the Pakistan Rangers Sindh in the Gulistan-i-Jauhar district of Karachi, where three security officers lost their lives.
Meanwhile, security personnel on Tuesday effectively disabled four simple drones fired by the Afghan Taliban government across the border into Balochistan, which forms part of their backing and assistance provided to militant groups active within areas under their control, as stated in a media statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Pakistan's strong air defense system quickly detected the aggressive airborne vehicles. Showing excellent preparedness, security personnel effectively disabled all four approaching drones with advanced countermeasures, according to ISPR.
It mentioned that because of the quick and successful reaction, the harmful efforts were successfully stopped. "These tricks employed by the Afghan Taliban government are intended to deceive the Afghan people who are enduring their harsh rule."
The Afghan Taliban must understand that their reckless actions are further increasing the suffering faced by Afghans.
Rather than attempting to calm their people with these actions and empty speeches, they ought to stop supporting terrorism and follow the idea of living peacefully together," the press statement noted.
Nevertheless, should the Afghan Taliban keep inciting Pakistan, they will face an appropriate reaction that will impose significant consequences upon them.
The Pakistani military continues to be completely alert and ready to protect all parts of the country.
Any incidents or border-related actions that challenge Pakistan's sovereignty and put our citizens at risk will face rapid, firm, and strong reactions through Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, it stated.
