Pakistan, July 2 – On Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar presided over the 6th session of the High-Level Committee for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, scheduled to take place in Pakistan on July 12–13, 2026.
The gathering examined the concluding stage of planning, covering the preliminary schedule, event outline, protocols, safety and operational setups, press and outreach plan, collaboration among ministries, and additional administrative issues.
The panel examined actions aimed at ensuring smooth organization and effective management of the conference, which will gather 57 OIC member nations to enhance collaboration regarding women's advancement, inclusivity, and environmental sustainability.
The vice premier commended the advancements achieved by the Department of Human Rights and simultaneously provided instructions to all pertinent parties to sustain tight collaboration and guarantee prompt execution of the outstanding tasks.
The gathering included federal ministers Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar and Shaza Fatima, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, Secretary for Human Rights Abdul Khaliq Shaikh, along with several high-ranking officials.
