Ho Chi Minh City placed seventh among the top 10 luxury destinations in the Asia-Pacific area according to the 2026 Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards, outperforming well-known centers like Seoul (8th) and Kuala Lumpur (9th).
Every year, the accolades hosted by the U.S.-based travel publication Travel + Leisure honor the top spots, accommodations, and tourist activities in the area, considering elements like guest happiness, level of service, efficiency, and general tourism appeal.
Kyoto in Japan was at the top of the ranking, with Bangkok and Singapore coming next.
Tokyo ranked fourth, with Hong Kong completing the top five.

The city of Ho Chi Minh highlights the energetic essence of southern Vietnam via its exciting culinary offerings, active evening entertainment, busy retail areas, and an eclectic blend of historical sites and contemporary places to visit.
The city welcomed more than 5.59 million international visitors during the initial five months of this year, achieving over half of the annual goal of 11 million.
