Addis Ababa, July 1, 2026 (ENA) — According to those who have benefited from it, the MESOB One Stop Service Center has greatly minimized administrative obstacles, allowing people to receive quicker, more effective, and better quality government services.
Unveiled by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the facility is revolutionizing how governmental services are provided by consolidating various public services into a single location via a tech-based approach.
The program aims to streamline bureaucratic processes, cut down wait periods, and enhance openness.
Residents mentioned that the online platform has made it easier to obtain crucial governmental services and reduced the time-consuming processes that were typical of official departments. They also highlighted that the simplified system has improved transparency and curbed chances for misconduct.
In an interview with ENA, Desta Wedajeneh, a resident of Addis Ababa, stated that the MESOB digital platform has helped people save significant time and demonstrates Ethiopia's advancements in updating government services.
"The updated system enables residents to access services rapidly and effectively, removing the extended wait times we previously encountered," he stated.
A different inhabitant, Yosef Tamene, remembered the challenges of acquiring a national identification card under the former system, noting that the procedure frequently involved multiple trips and took several days to finish.
"Currently, services that previously required several days can now be finished in just a few minutes," he stated, noting that the enhanced system has resolved numerous long-standing issues experienced by those using the services.
Yirgalem Teshome commended the MESOB platform, calling it an effective and progressive system that establishes a new benchmark for public administration services.
Aschalew Admasu mentioned that the center has removed numerous complicated bureaucratic processes that once caused difficulties for residents.
"This online platform goes beyond being just a practical tool. It reflects the nation's dedication to developing a contemporary and effective government structure," he stated.
A different inhabitant, Berhan Abreha, mentioned that combining various governmental services at a single site has significantly minimized public hassle.
Considering the earlier system, he mentioned that the new method has significantly simplified, accelerated, and enhanced the reliability of obtaining government services.
