Cassandra Lin, his sister, who had earlier claimed she suffered abuse from her ex-husband Dr. Steven Lin throughout their marriage, has expressed her sorrow following his passing.

"He entered the operating room wishing for something as straightforward as improved nighttime rest," she remarked in an GoFundMe .

Rather, our family finds itself enduring the most terrible fear of each beloved person.

He was my twin-hearted companion, my guardian, my biggest cheerleader, my most secure refuge, and the one I cherished above all others.

Ms. Lin mentioned that the brothers and sisters remained closely connected throughout their lives, especially during challenging times.

"We communicated daily. We shared living space. He relocated his whole family across state lines to stand by me during my most challenging moments," she stated.

We shared joyous moments side by side, supported one another during tough times, and were always certain of our mutual presence, regardless of circumstances.

Ms Lin organized the fundraising event to assist her children, as she was the only source of income for her family while employed as a corporate finance specialist at Balmain Group.

"His lovely kids were the joy of his existence. All choices he took, all hours he put in, all sacrifices he endured were for their sake," she stated.

He took great pride in them and devoted his life to ensuring they were cherished, safeguarded, and provided with all possible chances to succeed.

Currently, amidst profound sorrow, they must also confront an unpredictable tomorrow devoid of the individual who tirelessly supported them.

It was a situation Christopher would never have desired.

GoFundMe collected nearly $7,000 within three days, including the biggest contribution of $2,500 from Jay, Ms Lin's partner who works as a police officer and set up the campaign for her.

Ms. Lin told the Daily Mail in April that she has rediscovered love following her former husband's death at the hands of law enforcement.

Dr. Lin, aged 41, was killed during a dangerous confrontation with police in Sydney’s Potts Point following an incident where he assaulted two women, Chloe Paul and her neighbor Christine Campeau, while carrying a knife.

It signified the last phase of a life that had moved from career achievements to private difficulties.

By the time of his death, Lin had a troubling record involving harassment, physical aggression, suffocation, and multiple violations of restraining orders.

Body camera video released this week revealed Lin was partially buried in a garden following his attack on an unknown person, Nick Skarvelis. , outside his residence in Wollongong in May 2025, roughly 10 months prior to his passing.

Earlier friends stated that his behavior worsened after his marriage ended, during which there were infidelities, lies, and more unstable actions.

In a statement shared during her former husband's funeral, Mrs. Lin mentioned that she has never been able to move past learning the reality of his behavior.

After writing his worldwide bestselling book "The Dental Diet," which highlights the significance of oral health and proper nutrition for cognitive performance and general well-being, Lin emerged as a renowned celebrity dentist.

He gave TED speeches, ran two thriving clinics along the NSW Central Coast, and frequently traveled to the United States to participate in TV shows where he discussed his area of expertise.

However, the burden of his celebrity led him down a path of severe meth addiction, eventually resulting in his death and causing him to lose all he had.

While struggling with his addiction, he faced accusations of threatening to murder his former wife, the mother of his five children, and the woman with whom he had an extramarital relationship and a sixth child.

"I'll cut your throat and pull your head off, then hang your corpse in the garage," Lin said to his wife in September 2024 during a previous heated argument.

At that point, the Lins were already divorced, and she continued their routine with a different dentist.

Apart from working hard to maintain the business, she was also responsible for looking after their young kids in the family's $5 million house located on the Central Coast.
